Living With Progressive Pulmonary Fibrosis?
Adults age 18-80 can join a research study exploring a new potential option to improve lung function and reduce shortness of breath. Compensation up to $1225 for completing all visits.
Key Qualifications
You may be a good fit if:
You are 18 or older
You have progressive pulmonary fibrosis (PPF) from a lung disease that is NOT IPF
You have a CT scan in the last year shows lung scarring in more than 10 percent of your lungs.
The study team can provide a CT scan for you if needed. All study care is provided at no cost.
Your breathing or lung scarring has gotten worse in the last two years despite treatment
Your lung function (Forced Vital Capacity) is at least 45 percent
You either:
Have been on nintedanib or pirfenidone for at least 90 days and are expected to continue, or
Have not been on those drugs for at least 90 days and your doctor does not plan to start them during the study
If you are taking immunosuppressive medicines for ILD, you have been on them for at least 120 days and your disease is still progressing
You are willing and able to make study-related visits to our clinic in Redding, CA
You may not be able to join if:
Your main lung problem is obstructive disease or emphysema rather than fibrosis
You have been diagnosed with IPF
You have had serious problems with prostacyclin-type drugs in the past
